About Emily Galenbeck, MSW LCSW

Clinical Therapist

As a therapist, I believe that each individual is the driver of their own healing journey, which is why I take a collaborative approach to therapy. By establishing a supportive, non-judgmental, and anti-oppressive environment, I create a space where we can work together to identify your strengths and develop tools for growth. I approach all of my work with a trauma-informed lens, prioritizing safety and comfort from the very beginning.

Understanding that traditional talk therapy can feel intimidating for some, I enjoy incorporating hands-on activities such as crafts, puzzles, and shared reading to create an environment conducive to meaningful therapeutic work. My practice draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Motivational Interviewing—all tailored to meet your unique needs.

I believe that when you have the opportunity to develop effective coping strategies and self-awareness, you can build healthier relationships and experience greater fulfillment in all areas of life. My clients inspire me daily, and I am dedicated to supporting them as they navigate challenges and celebrate successes.
