Alison McGlynn, LCSW
Clinical Therapist
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a team effort. My goal is to walk alongside you as we untangle what's weighing you down, discover your strengths, and help you reconnect with the version of yourself you were always meant to be.
My style is warm, collaborative, and real. I use a mix of evidence-based approaches like DBT, CBT, strengths-based, and person-centered therapy. I also bring in systems theory to understand how your environment, relationships, and life experiences all play a part in what you're going through. Because life is complex (and often a little messy), I take a holistic view of healing that looks at the full picture of who you are.
I also believe therapy doesn't have to feel heavy all the time. When it's right, I use humor as a way to bring lightness into the room and help you see things from a new perspective.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, burnout, big life transitions, or just feeling stuck, we'll work together to make sense of it and find your way forward.
Specialties:
Teenagers, Young Adults, Individual Adults of all ages. Anxiety and depression, grief and loss, anger/impulse management, substance use and addiction, LGBTQ+ support, interpersonal relationships, and young adult transitions
